6 December: Richard Leach's Seven Stars of Jazz
An eclectic mix of Chicago style, Swing and Dixieland plus a hint of vaudeville. This band doesn't just play jazz, they entertain their audience. Star line-up includes Gordon Whitworth on trumpet and stylish drummer Graham Smith. (Quinborne Centre venue)
20 December: Sussex Jazz Kings
Christmas Party with great classic jazz played by this very entertaining band. A happy bunch of musicians led by Dave Stradwick, they create a buzz with swinging dance music and their interaction with the audience. Ticket prices arew £9 for members and £12 for guests. (Quinborne Centre venue)
3 January 2009: George Huxley's Jazz Band
George Huxley is one of UK's finest reeds players and has an international reputation. He's always in demand and this band plays to packed houses at jazz festivals. George's enthusiasm and his wonderful soprano sax solos (inspired by Sidney Bechet) guarantee an evening of top notch jazz. (Nautical Club venue)
17 January: Old Fashioned Love Band

7 February: Richard Leach's Clubhouse Five
A strong line up of the cream of Midlands musicians including Gordon Whitworth (trumpet) and Norman Field on reeds. Expect an eclectic - even electric - mix of swing, Dixie and New Orleans music. (Nautical Club venue)
28 February: New Orleans Wiggle
Blues, spirituals and authentic New Orleans sounds; these seasoned musicians are joined by Carolyn Topsy Hilton, a thrilling young singer with a superb bluesy voice. Based in Yorkshire, this band makes its first appearance at the Waterworks Jazz Club. (Nautical Club venue)
